Wild Waters was fuelled by Auka's passion for the rewilding and Right to Roam movements, in particular the need for access to blue spaces for wild swimming. The music is influenced by the ephemeral nature of rivers and streams, and pays tribute to the importance of protecting our wild waters.

Written and recorded while hunkered down during the long months of 2020, Auka's debut album Evergreen paints a picture of the often overlooked and neglected wild spaces close to home. The album was described as 'ethereal and euphoric' by BBC Introducing, and Songlines dubbed it a 'striking homage to the natural world'.
